Govt to conduct 850,000 artificial inseminations for breed improvement

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government plans to carry out 850,000 artificial inseminations to improve livestock breeds.



Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel made this announcement while presenting the budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/25 on Thursday.

“Through the breed improvement program, 850,000 artificial inseminations will be conducted to increase livestock production,” he said.


Similarly, to control diseases and epidemics in livestock and poultry, 55 million doses of vaccines will be dispatched.


For this purpose, Rs 850 million has been allocated, the minister added.
