KATHMANDU, June 2: The government has formed a talks committee to hold negotiations with the agitating transport entrepreneurs protesting against the ride-sharing regulations issued by the Gandaki Province government.
The move comes after eight organizations of transport entrepreneurs and workers halted public transportation across the country. In response, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and other stakeholders held a meeting with representatives of the transport sector today.

According to Home Ministry Spokesperson Ram Chandra Tiwari, the meeting decided to form a talks committee led by a joint secretary from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport. The committee will include representatives from various ministries and members from the transport sector.
The committee will consist of eight members from the government and four from transport entrepreneurs and workers.
