KATHMANDU, May 2: The government has announced that it will pass nine bills in the current budget session.
While presenting the policies and programs for the fiscal year 2025/26 at the joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, the government stated its plan to pass these nine bills during this session.
Parliament passes only 12 bills so far

In the policies and programs presented to the joint session of the Federal Parliament, President Ram Chandra Paudel stated that several important bills will be passed during the current session.
These include the bill related to Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force, the School Education Bill, the bill to restructure the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal by separating its regulatory and service provider functions, the Federal Civil Service Bill, the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Fund, and a land-related bill.
Although the government had issued a land-related ordinance, it was put on hold after being registered in the Federal Parliament Secretariat due to a lack of consensus among the ruling parties. The government, which had previously stated that the ordinance would be converted into a bill and passed through the regular legislative process, has now announced in its policies and programs that the bill will be passed during the current session.
