Expressing confidence that the services offered by the newly constructed maternity hospital will help reduce childbirth-related risks, he stated that the inauguration of the hospital will provide relief to expecting mothers in the area. This will also address the maternal and child health issues that have been prevalent due to a lack of treatment.
The new maternity hospital features a delivery room, surgery room, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), outpatient department (OPD) room, nursing room, pharmacy, waiting room, and an investigation room.
The Mayor of Matihani, Hari Prasad Mandal, informed that the maternity hospital was built for Rs 18.8 million through a joint investment from the federal government and Matihani Municipality.
