KATHMANDU, Sept 23: Gold prices surged to a record high on Tuesday, reaching Rs 221,700 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
The price rose by Rs 3,900 per tola compared to the previous day, when it was traded at Rs 217,800 per tola.

Similarly, silver climbed by Rs 30 per tola, trading at Rs 2,680 per tola, up from Monday’s Rs 2,650.
In the international market, gold reached $3,745.53 per ounce, while silver rose to $43.98 per ounce. On Monday, gold was at $3,691.56 and silver at $43.52.
