KASKI, July 9: The District Administration Office (DAO) of Kaski has introduced a time-based vehicle operation schedule across various roads in the district to mitigate monsoon-related risks.
In a notice issued today, the office said the schedule will be effective for 15 days starting today and applies to both public and private vehicles, excluding emergency services. The objective is to minimize potential human and physical damage due to ongoing monsoon threats.

According to the statement by Assistant Chief District Officer Shiv Lamsal, the decision to implement the schedule was based on a meeting held earlier this week, chaired by Chief District Officer Rudradevi Sharma under the District Disaster Management Committee.
As per the new schedule, vehicles heading to Ghandruk, Ulleri, and Landruk via the Birethanti–Ghandruk, Birethanti–Ulleri, and Lumle–Landruk routes are permitted to depart only after 5:00 am. All vehicles must leave their departure points by 5:00 pm. Similarly, vehicles traveling from Kahunkhola to Tangting are allowed to start their journey only after 5:00 am and must depart from their origin point no later than 4:30 pm.
The DAO has urged all drivers and transport operators to strictly follow the schedule to ensure safety during the ongoing monsoon.
