Chief Minister Pandey stated that the budget allocation was based on priority and existing liabilities. He said that higher allocations were made for Kaski and Gorkha districts due to Kaski’s status as the provincial and tourism capital and due to liabilities from ongoing projects in Gorkha.

Although the policy is to avoid allocating budget for physical infrastructure projects costing less than Rs 5 million, some projects received smaller allocations due to existing commitments. Chief Minister Pande emphasized the need to end the practice of selecting projects without securing proper funding sources.

The approved budget focuses on development and infrastructure construction across the province.
