Four-member task force formed for capital market reforms

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: Finance Minister Rameshore Khanal has formed a four-member task force to recommend systemic and procedural reforms aimed at boosting investor confidence in Nepal’s capital market.



The task force formed through a ministerial decision on Friday is coordinated by Rupesh KC, Acting Executive Director of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).

Members of the task force include Sharan Adhikari, Director at Nepal Rastra Bank; Niranjan Phuyal, Acting Executive Director of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE); and Sharad Niraula, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Finance.


The task force has been mandated to submit recommendations along with a concrete implementation plan to Minister Khanal within five days.
