KATHMANDU, June 2: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who led the UML delegation on a visit to China on the night of May 24, returned to Kathmandu this morning.
During her China visit, Bhandari held high-level meetings, including a Saturday meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng in Gansu Province.

Han Zheng is the second-ranking leader in the Chinese government and the eighth-ranking leader of the Chinese Communist Party. Observers say his meeting with Bhandari signifies the high importance China places on this visit.
Prior to that, upon arriving in Beijing, Bhandari met with Foreign Department Chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Liu Jianchao.
