KATHMANDU, July 23: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has determined today’s foreign exchange rates for Wednesday (today). According to the central bank, the US dollar has appreciated. It has set the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs. 137.90 and the selling rate at Rs. 138.50 for today, while the rate of one US dollar was set at Rs. 137.78 and the selling rate of one US dollar was set at Rs. 138.38 on Tuesday.
The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one Euro at Rs. 161.30 and the selling rate at Rs. 162.00. It has set the buying rate of one British pound sterling at Rs. 185.85 and the selling rate at Rs. 186.66. Similarly, the buying rate of one Swiss franc stands at Rs. 172.98 and the selling rate at Rs. 173.73.
The NRB has fixed the buying rate of one Australian dollar at Rs. 89.81 and the selling rate at Rs. 90.21. It has set the Canadian dollar’s buying rate at Rs. 100.81 and the selling rate at Rs. 101.25. Likewise, the bank has set the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at Rs. 107.59 and the selling rate at Rs. 108.06.
Forex Update: US dollar appreciates

The bank has set the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen at Rs. 9.35 and the selling rate at Rs. 9.39. It has fixed the buying rate of one Chinese yuan at Rs. 19.22 and the selling rate at Rs. 19.30. The central bank has set the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian riyal at Rs. 36.76 and the selling rate at Rs. 36.92. It has fixed the buying rate of one Qatari riyal at Rs. 37.83 and the selling rate at Rs. 38.00.
The NRB has fixed the buying rate of one Thai baht at Rs. 4.27 and the selling rate at Rs. 4.29. It has set the buying rate of one UAE dirham at Rs. 37.54 and the selling rate at Rs. 37.71. The bank has determined the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit at Rs. 32.59 and the selling rate at Rs. 32.73. It has set the buying rate of 100 South Korean Won at Rs. 9.94 and the selling rate at Rs. 9.99.
The central bank has also fixed the buying rate of one Swedish Krona at Rs. 14.38 and the selling rate at Rs. 14.44. It has set the buying rate of one Danish krone at Rs. 21.61 and the selling rate at Rs. 21.70. The bank has determined the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs. 17.57 and the selling rate at Rs. 17.64.
The NRB has fixed the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at Rs. 451.58 and the selling rate at Rs. 453.55. It has set the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at Rs. 365.78 and the selling rate at Rs. 367.37. Likewise, the bank has fixed the buying rate of one Omani Riyal at Rs. 358.17 and the selling rate at Rs. 359.73.
The central bank has set the buying rate of one hundred Indian rupees at Rs. 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs. 160.15. The bank has mentioned that it may revise these rates at any time if necessary. It has also stated that commercial banks may quote different rates and that the latest rates will be available on the NRB’s official website.
