Cooperation for trade

Chandra Prasad Dhakal, who led the FNCCI delegation in Bangkok, stated that the Joint Chamber of Commerce Council will help identify potential investment areas as Nepal's investment environment improves. He also mentioned that Thai businesses have expressed interest in sectors such as tourism, services, food processing, packaging, and construction material production in Nepal.
In the talks, President Dhakal urged the Thai Chamber of Commerce to provide on-arrival visas to Nepali industrialists.
He shared that Thai businessmen expressed concerns that political instability in Nepal could affect investment. However, Dhakal emphasized that they believe investment will remain unaffected, as the government has already revised policies to facilitate foreign investment.
He also mentioned that they are advancing discussions with member countries to activate the process of forming the BIMSTEC Chamber.
