FM Rana urges NRNs for unity

Foreign Minister (FM) Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has urged the non-resident Nepalis to foster unity. Addressing the unity general convention of the non-resident Nepalis' Association (NRNA) in Kathmandu on Saturday, Minister Rana spoke against politics and factionalism in the organization and requested NRNA to come under a single umbrella.

KATHMANDU, May 3: Foreign Minister (FM) Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has urged the non-resident Nepalis to foster unity. Addressing the unity general convention of the non-resident Nepalis' Association (NRNA) in Kathmandu on Saturday, Minister Rana spoke against politics and factionalism in the organization and requested NRNA to come under a single umbrella.



"Irrespective of your affiliation to any political party, the organization should be away from party politics to keep it intact," she reminded, urging further activism for unity.


The unity convention is being held with the spirit that the country is above the organization, said Minister Deuba.

The foreign minister appreciated the role played by the NRNA to promote Nepali culture, cuisine and identity across the globe. She also reminded that NRNA could boost investment in Nepal, which would be helpful to accelerate economic growth. 


According to her, a unit has been set up at the Foreign Ministry to look after the Nepali diaspora.
