KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Two more young men victimized by kidney trafficking racket have come to the contact of police, bringing the total number of identified victims to five, according to the Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau of Nepal Police.
The latest victims — one from Kavre and one from Nuwakot— reached the Bureau on Friday and are preparing to file official complaints on Monday, Police Sub-Inspector Krishna Prasad Pangeni said. Authorities expect more victims to come to their contact.

Among those already in contact, two reported receiving no payment after their kidneys were removed, while others were paid only a fraction of the promised amount.
Last week, police arrested four suspected members of the trafficking racket, two from Nuwakot and two from Kavre, accused of luring economically vulnerable youths from Kavre, Nuwakot, Sindhuli and other districts to India, where their kidneys were sold in cities like Delhi, Chandigarh and Noida.
Investigators believe the gang has trafficked over 50 victims, offering between Rs 700,000 and Rs 800,000 per kidney but often withholding most or all of the money.
