Five centuries old monastery in Mustang renovated

The monastery premises have been paved with RCC. Electrification has been carried out. Along with the renovation of the monastery, essential structures including toilets have also been constructed.

MUSTANG, May 8: The 500-year-old Sauru Monastery at Sauru village of Thasang Rural Municipality-2 has been renovated.



Social workers Madan and Bal Kumari Gauchan of Pokhara provided Rs 2.25 million for the renovation of the monastery.

According to Subarna Gauchan, chairperson of the Monastery Conservation Management Committee, the interior and exterior parts of the dilapidated monastery have been repaired.
