Fire breaks out at canteen of Sigma College in Kathmandu (With Photos)

KATHMANDU, May 21: A fire engulfed the canteen of Sigma College in Sorakhutte, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, on Wednesday morning. A gas leak triggered the blaze, which destroyed canteen supplies and caused an estimated loss of around Rs 300,000.



After receiving the fire report, a team from the Armed Police Force Nepal, No. 24 Bagh Bhairav ​​Battalion, Kathmandu, led by Deputy Superintendent Ashok Kumar Nyaupane, and another team from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Fire Engine Office, New Road, under the command of Armed Police Inspector Dhan Bahadur Subedi, rushed to the scene. With help from Nepal Police, firefighters, and local residents, they quickly brought the fire under control.
