SUDURPASCHIM, Aug 12: Family members of Bharat Chaudhary, 36, of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-4, who was killed in the clash between inmates in Kailali jail, have agreed to receive the body.
The family members of the deceased Chaudhary received the body on Monday after the chief district officer assured them he would take an initiative to hear the demands of the families, informed administrative officer Shiva Raj Joshi.
"The provincial government has already assured to address some demands of Chaudhary's family. They agreed to receive the body after CDO committed to talk to the concerned agency regarding the demand of the family for free education for the children of the deceased," it is shared.

It may be noted that the family members did not agree to receive the body till this morning, putting forth two demands—action against the guilty and proper compensation from the concerned authority.
The Sudurpaschim province government decided on Sunday evening to provide Rs 500,000 to the family of the deceased, Chaudhary.
Chaudhary, who was injured during a clash in the jail on Friday evening, died during treatment. The other 45 injured are being treated at Seti Provincial Hospital.
Critically injured, Karna Salami Magar and Ayush Bhatta are undergoing treatment in Kathmandu. Another injured, Kalpes Bista, who was receiving treatment in Dhangadhi, has been referred to Kathmandu for further treatment, informed Jalandar Bhusal of the prison section.
A committee has been formed under the leadership of Assistant Chief District Officer Kiran Joshi to carry out an investigation into the incident.
