KATHMANDU, Aug 1: The Election Commission (EC) has called on all political parties to register for the upcoming by-election in Rupandehi Constituency-3, scheduled for November 3, 2025.
Issuing a notice on Thursday, the EC informed that applications for party registration can be submitted at its central office from August 6 to August 12.

The commission has already approved the election schedule for the by-election. As per the schedule, candidate nominations will take place on October 7 from 10 AM to 5 PM at the election officer’s office. The preliminary list of candidates will be published the same evening, and the final list will be published on October 10.
Voting will be held on November 3 from 7 AM to 5 PM at designated polling centers.
The EC has also clarified that individuals listed in the closed proportional representation (PR) list of the 2022 federal and provincial elections are not eligible to file candidacy in this by-election.
