Prasai will be brought to Kathmandu via Bhadrapur Airport and presented before the Kathmandu District Court today to seek remand for investigation.

He faces a range of serious charges related to the violent protest at Kathmandu’s Tinkune on March 28, including attempted murder, robbery, arson, vandalism, assault on security forces and organized crime.

The March 28 protest, led by the Joint People's Movement Committee formed under Nabaraj Subedi, turned deadly and chaotic, leaving two people, journalist Suresh Rajak and protester Sabin Maharjan, dead and 129 others injured. Five remain hospitalized.
