Dr Ruit declines PM’s offer to join govt

The caretaker government PM Karki held discussions with senior ophthalmologist Dr Ruit at Tilganga Eye Institute on Tuesday regarding the possibility of him joining her government.

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: A veteran eye surgeon Dr. Sanduk has declined a proposal made by the Prime Minister Sushila Karki to join the interim government, citing he wanted to serve as a doctor. 



The caretaker government PM Karki held discussions with senior ophthalmologist Dr Ruit at Tilganga Eye Institute on Tuesday regarding the possibility of him joining her government.


During the meeting, Dr Ruit conveyed that while he is ready to extend support to the government, he would not be able to take part as a member of it.
