KATHMANDU, May 29: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will present the annual revenue and expenditure estimate (budget) for fiscal year 2025/26 at a joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament today.
Padma Prasad Pandey, Secretary of the Federal Parliament, said the meeting will begin at 3:00 PM, during which the Finance Minister will present the budget as per Article 119 of the Constitution of Nepal. The Parliamentary Secretariat has asked members of both Houses to arrive at the House of Representatives chamber by 2:45 PM.

Earlier, at 1:30 PM, the House of Representatives will hold a session where Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read a letter from the Prime Minister and the Cabinet Office about additional responsibilities. Finance Minister Paudel will also present the Economic Survey for fiscal year 2025/26 during this session.
Similarly, at 1:45 PM, the National Assembly will hold a meeting where Finance Minister Paudel will present the Economic Survey for fiscal year 2025/26 before the house.
