The representatives of Gen Z groups had walked out of the meeting after Durga Prasai joined the meeting. The youth groups had earlier expressed reservation after CoAS Sigdel called Prasai and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) as stakeholders of the Gen Z movement.

The meeting was expected to find political way out to the current political impasse following the resignation of Prime Minister K P Oli.

President Ram Chandra Paudel, Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel and former Chief Justice Karki were engaged in discussions when the entry of Durga Prasai—a medical entrepreneur who has recently gained attention as a royalist—led to the immediate suspension of the negotiations.
