KATHMANDU, July 23: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday inched up 5.17 points to close at 2,978.88 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,973.70 points and plunged to the day’s low at 2,948.97 points in the first 19 minutes, which was followed by a surge to as high as 2,992.1 points in the next 11 minutes. In another around three hours, the market again declined 40 points, while it recovered 26 points in the remaining trading hours before it closed for the day.
Daily turnover shrinks to Rs 19.36 billion while NEPSE gains 7....

Seven out of the 13 trading groups were the gainers as the finance index inclined by the highest of 85.14 points. Of the six losers, non-life insurance fell by the largest of 84.20 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies marginally declined 0.15 points. The daily turnover slightly declined to Rs 19.57 billion from Rs 20.08 billion.
Among the individual companies, 98 were gainers while 152 were recorded as the losers. Himalayan Reinsurance Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 781.02 million.
Trade Tower Limited and Sanvi Energy Limited added the highest of 9.99 percent in their market values. Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited with a decline of 5.32 percent was recorded as the highest loser.
