KATHMANDU, July 24: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) inclined marginally by 3.76 points to close at 2,982.64 points on Thursday.
The secondary market opened at 2,978.88 points and escalated to the day’s high at 2,990.46 points in the first 38 minutes. The index, however, plunged to the day’s low at 2,964.16 points in the next two hours. The market recovered around 18 points in the remaining trading hours before it closed for the day.

Six out of the 13 trading groups were the gainers as hydropower led the segment with a growth of 77.47 points. Of the seven losers, non-life insurance shed the largest of 78.22 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, improved marginally by 0.31 points. The daily turnover dropped to Rs 18.49 billion from Rs 19.57 billion.
Among the individual companies, 123 were gainers while 127 were recorded as the losers. Radhi Bidyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 772.14 million.
Green Ventures Limited was listed as the largest gainer. Manjushree Finance Limited Debenture 2085 lost the highest of 4.22 percent of its market value.
