KATHMANDU, March 14: The CPN (Unified Socialist) party has announced a series of protest programs.



In a press conference held on Friday, Ghanshyam Bhusal, secretary of the party announced that they will stage the protest till May 5. Bhusal stated that the party launched the protest to free politics from the power game and the manipulation of upcoming elections.

General Secretary Bhusal outlined the protest program, stating that subordinate committees will hold discussions from March 15-19. Following that, the party will engage in dialogues and collect feedback from various associations, organizations, and individuals at the central level from March 20-28. On April 2, the party will submit a memorandum to the government. Additionally, public dialogues and feedback collection will take place at the provincial and district levels until mid-April.


He outlined that the party will submit a memorandum to the provincial government and district administration offices on April 18. The party will conduct public dialogues and collect feedback at the municipal and ward levels until April 28. From May 2 to May 5, the party will submit memorandums to the municipal and ward offices, and on May 8, the party will announce the second phase of the protest.


Preparing for the protest under the slogan "Good Governance and Employment as the Foundation of Socialism," the Unified Socialist Party has identified agriculture, industry, tourism, and infrastructure as key sectors for creating employment.
