KATHMANDU, May 28: Westerly winds, local air circulation, and moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal are currently influencing Nepal's weather, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).
This afternoon, hilly regions of the country, including Lumbini Province, will see partly to generally cloudy skies, while other areas will remain mostly clear. Some hilly areas are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. A few hilly and mountainous areas may also receive light rain and snowfall.

The DHM also reports that hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will remain partly to generally cloudy, with clear weather prevailing elsewhere. These provinces, along with other hilly regions, may experience light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning in some locations. Light rain and snowfall may occur at a few spots in the hilly and mountainous regions.
