KATHMANDU, May 9: The Chinese Embassy in Nepal has urged its citizens to avoid the Nepal-India border area. The Chinese Embassy issued a statement after India went to war with Pakistan.



In a statement on Friday, the embassy noted that a war is ongoing between Pakistan and India, and the Nepali government has increased security in the border area. The embassy explained that the number of armed police officers has been raised in the region, and due to the open border between Nepal and India, it advised Chinese citizens to avoid traveling to the border area.

Additionally, the Embassy urged its citizens not to enter India via Nepali territory. Following the Pahalgam attack, India launched strikes on Pakistan and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. Since then, both countries have exchanged missiles and drones, with over 50 people having died on both sides so far.
