MADHYABINDU, Aug 8: The Butwal-Narayanghat road section has once again been obstructed. The disruption occurred at Daunne, located in Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-2 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) along the East-West Highway.

According to Superintendent of Police Yadav Dhakal of the District Police Office, the road became muddy and slippery due to rainfall, causing vehicles to get stuck and halting traffic. The Daunne section, which had been intermittently operational since it was first blocked on Monday morning due to continuous rain, is now fully obstructed again from this morning.

"Even light rain is causing vehicles to slip and fail to move forward. Trucks are getting stuck in the muddy road, creating severe problems, especially for vehicles heading uphill from the east to the west," said SP Dhakal.

Police stated that efforts are underway to repair and reopen the road. Persistent blockages have been occurring near the Bishwakarma Temple area in Ward 2 of the rural municipality. The Daunne hill section, currently under road expansion, frequently becomes impassable even during light rain due to hill cutting work in the area.
