The police discovered the body last Tuesday and initially suspected that it belonged to a Nepali student. After conducting the fingerprint test, they confirmed the identity as that of a Nepali student. Duwadi, quoting the London police, reported that the fingerprint matched those obtained from the Department of Passport in Nepal.

The police suspect that Oli may have committed suicide based on their preliminary investigation and are coordinating with the deceased's family to manage the body. Duwadi said that the family has been updated on the investigation and developments. He stated, "Based on the initial investigation, the police have concluded that the cause of death is not suspicious. Further details will emerge after additional investigations."

He also mentioned that after the autopsy, discussions are ongoing with the family about whether to bring the body back to Nepal or conduct the final rites in the UK. After losing contact with Oli on April 21, students from the campus where Oli was studying informed the London police and the Nepali embassy.
