KATHMANDU, Sept 2: The bodies of two young men who went missing after a motorcycle accident in Rasuwa district have been recovered from a stream in Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-6, Sole.

One killed, two seriously injured in a motorcycle accident

The victims have been identified as Sudip Ghale, 24, and Dawa Dendup Tamang, 23, both residents of Thade in Gosainkunda-6. On August 31, they had set out towards Dhunche on a motorcycle numbered (AAA-3817) but lost contact soon afterward. Concerned family members filed a missing persons report with the Rasuwa District Police Office on September 2.
DSP Shailendra Thapa, spokesperson for the Armed Police Force, said that after receiving the report, security personnel reviewed CCTV footage from a checkpoint at the Nepali Army’s Srinath Battalion in Dhunche. The footage showed the two riding their motorcycle towards Thade at around 10 pm on the same night.
Based on this information, a joint search team comprising the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force—including disaster management-trained personnel under the command of APF Inspector Mohabir Nagal—was mobilized on September 2 morning. Initial findings suggest that the motorcycle veered off the road and fell nearly 250 meters into the stream, leading to the fatal accident.
