KATHMANDU, May 6: Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker and billionaire Binod Chaudhary met Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates during the Philanthropy Asia Alliance 2025 (PAA-2025) event in Singapore on Tuesday.
During their meeting, Chaudhary and Gates discussed significant challenges in Nepal’s health and employment sectors. Chaudhary expressed his honor at having the opportunity to meet Gates, noting their ‘meaningful and serious discussion’ on these issues.

Chaudhary also expressed gratitude to the Gates Foundation for its partnership in Nepal’s nutrition efforts through the Strong Nepal initiative, especially in the aftermath of the 2015 earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic. He highlighted his enthusiasm for expanding positive health initiatives in Nepal in collaboration with the foundation.
