Bikal Paudel sentenced to 2 years in prison, fined Rs 135.8 million over printing machine procurement

The Special Court sentenced former Executive Director of the Security Printing Center, Bikal Paudel, to 2 years in prison and fined him Rs 135.85 million for corruption during the procurement of a printing machine.

KATHMANDU, May 5: The Special Court sentenced former Executive Director of the Security Printing Center, Bikal Paudel, to 2 years in prison and fined him Rs 135.85 million for corruption during the procurement of a printing machine.



A bench led by Special Court Chairperson Tek Narayan Kunwar, along with members Tej Narayan Singh Rai and Ram Bahadur Thapa, found Paudel guilty on Sunday and imposed the sentence.

The court sentenced him 1 year and 6 months in prison for corruption and added another 6 months for abusing his authority while serving as Executive Director of the Security Printing Center.
