KATHMANDU, April 2: Bhat-Bhateni superstore owner, Min Bahadur Gurung, has announced financial support for the families of journalist Suresh Rajak and Sabin Maharjan.

During an event on Wednesday, Gurung announced that he would give Rs 500,000 to Suresh Rajak's family and Rs 300,000 to Sabin Maharjan's family as financial relief.
Bhat-Bhateni has honored security guard Dul (Krishna) Prasad Parajuli, who displayed bravery during the March 28 incident. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs 501,111 and a promotion of five grades at a ceremony held today.
The event also recognized and rewarded other employees who played a key role in protecting Bhat-Bhateni during the looting and vandalism on that day.
