Bangladesh defeats Nepal 3-0 in SAFF U-17 Women's Championship

With this victory, Bangladesh has climbed to the second spot in the championship by amassing six points from three matches. Nepal, meanwhile, is in third place with three points added from the same number of games.

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Nepal has conceded a defeat to Bangladesh in the SAFF U-17 Women's Championship. In the match held at Changlimithang Stadium in Bhutan on Sunday, Bangladesh beat Nepal by 3-0. With this victory, Bangladesh has climbed to the second spot in the championship by amassing six points from three matches.



Nepal, meanwhile, is in third place with three points added from the same number of games.

Earlier in the championship, Nepal had lost to India by a margin of 7-0. 


Likewise, Bangladesh, which had thrashed Bhutan 3-1, lost 2-0 to India.


In today's match between Nepal and Bangladesh, Thunue Marma, Sauravi Akhand Priti and Mamoni Chakma scored goals.


Bangladesh took the lead in the 41st minute of the match through a goal by Marma followed by Sauravi's goal just three minutes later to double the lead. 


Then Chakma scored the third goal in injury time, securing a victory for her team.
