KATHMANDU – The Armed Police Force, Nepal, (APF) has promoted a total of 2,196 personnel including Senior Sub-Inspector to Assistant Head Constable within the span of a month.
According to the APF Headquarters, 11 personnel were promoted to Senior Sub-Inspector, 34 to Sub-Inspector and 6 to Sub-Inspector under the Accounts sub-group. Similarly, 603 were promoted to Senior Head Constable, 759 to Head Constable and 783 to Assistant Head Constable.

The headquarters had issued a notice on June 2, calling for applications for promotion to Senior Sub-Inspector and Sub-Inspector posts under the General Group, as well as to Sub-Inspector under the General Accounts sub-group. Eligible candidates were asked to submit their promotion forms within ten days.
Likewise, candidates for promotion to Senior Head Constable, Head Constable and Assistant Head Constable were given 15 days to submit their forms to the Secretariat of the Promotion Committee.
Applicants were required to include copies of their academic qualifications and other documents necessary for promotion evaluation. The APF also informed that the promotion process for remaining vacant posts in other ranks will commence soon.
