KATHMANDU, June 3: Actor Ghanshyam Gautam passed away late Monday night. According to his family members, he died at 12:10 am during treatment at the Kathmandu Cancer Center in Tathali, Bhaktapur.
Gautam had been battling intestinal cancer for the past two years. His family confirmed his passing through a post on his Facebook account.

Actor Gautam, popularly known for his role as ‘Fake Prachanda’ in the popular TV serial Meri Bassai, has passed away at a young age.
He had made notable appearances in various comedy series, Gaijatra programs, and stage performances throughout his career.
About one and a half months ago, Gautam was admitted to Kathmandu Medical College in Sinamangal for treatment. As his condition worsened, he was later moved to Kathmandu Cancer Center in Tathali, where he breathed his last.
Gautam’s final rites will be performed this morning at the Pashupati Aryaghat in Kathmandu.
