91 prisoners who fled from Rasuwa jail return

Out of 97 inmates who escaped from Rasuwa prison during the Gen-Z protests, 91 have returned.

RASUWA, Sept 18: Out of 97 inmates who escaped from Rasuwa prison during the Gen-Z protests, 91 have returned. 



Some of the jailbirds who escaped from prison on September 10 were arrested by the security personnel from their homes, while others surrendered, said Police Inspector and spokesperson at the District Police Office, Rasuwa, Raju Shah.

Among those still at large are Rupesh Nepali from Rasuwa Kalika-3, Suman Tamang, known as Chhiring, from Rasuwa Uttargaya-3, Nima Dorje Tamang from Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-1, and Karma Sonam Tamang from the same municipality-3, he said. 


The police also informed that Birman Tamang from Kispang Rural Municipality-1, Nuwakot, and Nirmal Tamang from the same municipality-5 are also among those who have not come into contact.
