Transportation operators say this number has further increased since the government did not open advance tickets for Dashain.

At ticket counters in Gongabu, Kalanki, Koteshwor, and other locations, the number of passengers has been increasing daily. From Bhadra 25 until Thursday, 70,000 people have left Kathmandu.

Operators have stated that this number is expected to double during Ghatasthapana, and vehicle arrangements are being made accordingly.
