62 escaped inmates return to Myagdi jail

According to Police Inspector Paudel, five persons who helped the prisoners escape from the jail have also been arrested, and charges have been filed against them under the Prison Act, 2079 BS.

MYAGDI, Sept. 18: A total of 62 inmates who escaped from Myagdi Jail last week have returned. They had fled after breaking out of jail on September 10.



Police Inspector of the District Police Office, Myagdi, Sagar Paudel, informed that all the inmates except 14 have so far returned to jail. The police arrested them and brought them to prison.

Meanwhile, a police team has been mobilized to search for the remaining escaped inmates. The police also held three other prisoners who fled from Kathmandu and Kaski.
