Abduction 'experience' of Thabang Rural Municipality chief

Abhishek, who drove his tractor, had gone out toward the local square after dinner on Sunday night but did not return home. His family searched the surrounding neighborhood throughout the night but could not locate him. On Monday morning, the Mahato family filed a complaint with the APO, Golbazar, seeking his safe rescue after receiving a Rs 5 crore ransom demand via the messenger app Imo on their mobile phones.
According to the family, the abductors specifically contacted Abhishek’s mother via Imo, demanding the ransom in exchange for their son’s life. Despite providing the police with all relevant information promptly, the family expressed frustration that authorities were unable to rescue Abhishek safely, accusing police inaction of contributing to his death.
Locals also criticized the police for taking too long to confirm the case as an abduction. Police Inspector Sah stated, “A detailed investigation into the incident is underway. Those involved will be identified and brought to justice.”
