KATHMANDU, May 21: A total of 11 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) have been recommended for promotion to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
The recommendation was made by the Promotion Committee Secretariat under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Sudarshan Prasad Koirala tops the list of recommended officers.

Others on the list include Nibodh Ghimire, Dipendra Gharti Kshetri, Deepak Regmi, Madhav Prasad Shrestha, and Dilip Singh Deuba.
Also recommended for promotion are Deepak Kumar Basnet, Om Bahadur Rana, Jayaram Sapkota, Sanjeev Sharma Das, and Surendra Bahadur Gurung.
Following the recommendation, the final appointment process will now proceed through the Cabinet.
