KATHMANDU, Sept 10: More than a dozen houses were swept away by the flood triggered by heavy rainfall in Lasku River in Khalanga area of Darchula district headquarters. According to the police, 11 people have reportedly gone missing in the flood so far.

A suspension bridge and a concrete bridge were also swept away by the massive flood. The heavy rain caused massive flooding in Lasku River and Mahakali River.
At present, teams of Nepali Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed to carry out rescue operations.
