KATHMANDU, April 15: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar stands at Rs 137.37, while the selling rate is Rs 137.97, maintaining the same price from yesterday.
The euro is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 156.46 and a selling rate of Rs 157.14. The UK pound sterling has been set at Rs 181.27 for buying and Rs 182.07 for selling. Likewise, the Swiss franc is being exchanged at Rs 167.69 for buying and Rs 168.42 for selling. The Australian dollar's buying rate is Rs 86.87 and selling rate Rs 87.25, while the Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 99.15 and sold at Rs 99.58. Similarly, the Singapore dollar is trading at Rs 104.42 for buying and Rs 104.88 for selling.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced

For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 units of Japanese yen is Rs 9.60 and the selling rate is Rs 9.64. The Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 18.79 and sold at Rs 18.87. The Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 36.60 for buying and Rs 36.76 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is being traded at Rs 37.68 and Rs 37.85 respectively.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht is trading at Rs 4.10 for buying and Rs 4.11 for selling. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 37.40 and a selling rate of Rs 37.56. The Malaysian ringgit is being exchanged at Rs 31.11 for buying and Rs 31.25 for selling. The South Korean won, per 100 units, is set at Rs 9.67 for buying and Rs 9.71 for selling.
The Swedish kroner’s exchange rate is Rs 14.22 for buying and Rs 14.28 for selling, while the Danish kroner is traded at Rs 20.95 and Rs 21.04 respectively. The Hong Kong dollar has a buying rate of Rs 17.71 and a selling rate of Rs 17.79. The Kuwaiti dinar is trading at Rs 447.93 for buying and Rs 449.89 for selling, and the Bahraini dinar is being bought at Rs 364.43 and sold at Rs 366.02. The Omani riyal is listed at Rs 356.82 for buying and Rs 358.38 for selling.
Meanwhile, the Indian rupee, per 100 units, is being bought at Rs 160.00 and sold at Rs 160.15. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that it may revise these exchange rates at any time as required. The bank also noted that commercial banks may quote slightly different rates, and the latest official rates are available on the central bank's website.
