Two die, six injured as Jeep plunges into river in Tanahun

TANAHU, Sept 7: Two people were killed and six others sustained severe injuries as a jeep collapsed into the Deuli River of Rishing Rural Municipality on Monday.

TANAHU, Sept 7: Two people were killed and six others sustained severe injuries as a jeep collapsed into the Deuli River of Rishing Rural Municipality on Monday.



The ill-fated jeep (Gha 1 Jha 7128) fell some 70 meters down the road into the river, according to the chief of the District Traffic Police Office of Tanahu, Resham Bahadur Ranabhat.

The deceased have been identified as 55 years old Rajkumar Shrestha from Vyas-5 and the driver - 32 years old Hom Bahadur Shrestha, according to DSP Yubaraj Timalsina.


“Of the six injured in the accident, one each is undergoing treatment at Ratna Hari Hospital and Samadhan Hospital in Damauli and four in Pokhara,” Timalsina added.
