KATHMANDU, April 1: President Ram Chandra Poudel has prorogued the winter session of both houses of the Federal Parliament.
President Poudel has ended the ongoing session of both houses of Parliament, effective from midnight on Tuesday. Following the recommendation of the cabinet meeting on Monday, he prorogued the winter session on Tuesday.

Today's parliamentary meeting will be the final session of this year's winter session. Among other agenda items, the meeting is scheduled to conclude after passing a condolence motion over the death of sitting lawmaker Dipak Bohora of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
The winter session of Parliament began on January 31 this year.
