KAPILVASTU, Sept 21: Police in Kapilvastu arrested two individuals with brown sugar in their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, authorities apprehended them on Saturday afternoon from Arairakot in Kapilvastu Municipality–11, seizing a total of 2.1 grams of the narcotic.
The arrested are identified as Prabhakar Dhobi, 23, of Aduara, Kapilvastu Municipality–11 and Sagar Pasi, 19, of Barwa, Banganga Municipality–11.
According to the Kapilvastu District Police Office, 530 milligrams of brown sugar were recovered from Dhobi and 1.57 grams from Pasi.
Both have been charged under narcotics-related offenses, police confirmed.
