Three die from Japanese Encephalitis in Chitwan

CHITWAN, Aug 19 : Three people in Chitwan have died of Japanese Encephalitis. According to Ram K.C., vector controller at the Public Health Office, nine infections were confirmed from sample tests conducted between August 7 and August 19, out of which three resulted in death.

The disease has been detected among residents of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Kalika Municipality, Rapti Municipality, Khairahani Municipality and Madi Municipality. He informed that the illness spreads through bites of female Culex mosquitoes and urged everyone to remain cautious.

Sudden high fever, severe headache, vomiting, body tremors and neck pain are the symptoms of Japanese Encephalitis.
