KATHMANDU, Aug 7: An independent lawmaker, Amresh Kumar Singh, has claimed that he receives offers from all major political parties. Singh made this claim on the Nagarik Daily’s Nagarik Frontline program on Wednesday.
He said he receives offers from the Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Center), and others. "KP Oli tells me to join and guarantees a ministerial position. I get frequent offers from NC. I get offers from the Madhesh-centric parties, from Rastriya Swatantra Party, and from the Maoist Center," he said. "But I won’t join any of them."
Singh, who spent many years in politics under the NC, has been an independent since the last election. He has said that he feels better after distancing himself from party politics and often openly comments on parties and their leaders.
