KATHMANDU, June 30: Chitwan National Park has suspended all jeep safari activities starting Monday, citing the ongoing breeding season of wild animals and birds.

According to park spokesperson Avinash Thapa Magar, the ban will remain in place until the second week of Asoj (end of October). The park routinely halts safaris during monsoon season to avoid disturbances to wildlife during sensitive reproductive periods.

While jeep safaris inside the core park areas from Sauraha, Kasara, Meghauli, and Nawalparasi are halted, tours in the surrounding buffer zone forests will continue as usual.
