KATHMANDU, July 21: The price of gold has continued to rise. On the second trading day of the week, the price increased by Rs 400, reaching Rs 193,700 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold was priced at Rs 193,300 per tola on Sunday, an Rs 800 increase compared to last Friday. Within five days, gold has risen by Rs 1,400 per tola.
Due to pressure in the international market, prices have not declined. Silver, too, remains at a high rate. Over the past six months, gold prices have surged by 21.49 percent.
On Monday, silver remained stable at Rs 2,285 per tola in the Nepali market—the same rate as on Sunday. Last Friday, silver was priced at Rs 2,280 per tola.
