KATHMANDU, Sept 16 : The price of gold has surged to a record high in Nepal, reaching Rs 217,100 per tola on Tuesday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price rose by Rs 1,900 compared to the previous day.
On Monday, gold had traded at Rs 215,200 per tola, marking an increase of Rs 100 from Sunday’s Rs 215,800.
Silver prices have also hit an all-time high, climbing by Rs 20 to Rs 2,595 per tola on Tuesday. A day earlier, silver had risen by Rs 5 to Rs 2,575 per tola.
In the international market, gold prices continued to rise, reaching USD 3,683.06 per ounce on Tuesday, up from USD 3,645.64 the previous day. Silver prices also increased to USD 42.68 per ounce.
